Job Description

SNI Companies is looking for an experienced and dedicated Medical Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of prior healthcare experience and possess strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Pay Rate: $20.00 to $23.00 an hour (depending on education/experience)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM (in-office required)

90-day contract to hire position

The Medical Administrative Assistant coordinates the daily administrative support activities for the administrative staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles routine and moderately complex inquiries related to policies, procedures, and processes, ensuring unit-level compliance.
  • Coordinates specific administrative support functions within the office and provides direct assistance to faculty or management staff. Organizes and manages community events on behalf of the division.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements, makes reservations and processes reimbursements.
  • Drafts correspondence and reports. Creates or maintains unit filing systems or workflows.
  • Maintains office supply inventory, interacts with vendors, serves as unit contact for space, equipment or facility issues. Maintains subscriptions, order office supplies, ensures correct cost allocations and circulates mail.
  • Organizes and performs all office and clerical functions including, but not limited to, setting appointments, scheduling meetings, answering the telephone, taking and transcribing meeting minutes and organizing and maintaining calendar appointments/scheduling for administration.
  • Ensures timely scheduling of appropriate rooms, arranges necessary equipment delivery, and coordinates catering services for meetings and training sessions, as needed.
  • Facilitates the coordination of regional trainings throughout the year.
  • Oversees and coordinates volunteers and volunteer paperwork.
  • Develops and maintain resident schedule for patient rotations and ensures resident completion of necessary assignments. Builds resident schedule monthly.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience within a healthcare setting
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Able to work with people from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug test
  • Must be able to work on-site
