Job Description

We’re looking for a dynamic and driven Social Media Department Lead to join our team. This role blends high-level strategy with hands-on execution and leadership. You’ll be responsible for managing our entire social media team, developing platform-specific social media plans for law firms across the country, producing and/or overseeing creative deliverables, and constantly evaluating and refining staff and social media performance based on data.

This isn’t a pure management role — we want someone who’s just as comfortable in the trenches writing a caption or tweaking a Reel as they are mapping out a 90-day engagement strategy. You’ll lead our social media team, serve as the point of contact for internal staff and our clients, and act as our in-house expert on platform trends and content best practices. Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and lead multi-platform social media strategies tailored to each client’s practice areas, brand voice, geographic target market, and growth goals
  • Conduct social audits and competitive research to identify opportunities and set clear benchmarks
  • Tailor content and posting strategies for each platform — including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, and Google Business Profile, with the potential to expand into other platforms on a client-by-client basis
  • Develop content formats that perform best on each channel
  • Monitor trends, algorithm updates, and engagement norms unique to each platform, adjusting content types, cadence, and format accordingly
  • Develop and manage social media paid advertising campaigns within the budgets set for each client, experimenting with audiences, copy, and creative to identify high-performing strategies
  • Track and analyze the performance of paid and organic content by channel, using KPIs to optimize future efforts and to determine best practices

Content Creation

  • Write, edit, and schedule social media content — including captions, curated articles, graphics, videos, and more
  • Maintain a consistent publishing cadence across platforms
  • Design visual content and/or collaborate with social media team to produce high-quality assets
  • Lead the integration of video storytelling into social media campaigns by identifying key topics and / or trends that can be enhanced through short-form video content

Team Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and mentor our team of social media coordinators and managers, taking full ownership of their work product, deadlines, and overall performance
  • Ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality, on-brand content that aligns with client goals and agency standards
  • Provide clear creative direction, feedback, and coaching to support the social media team
  • Train team members on emerging tools, trends, and performance standards
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to integrate social campaigns with broader marketing efforts and ensure each law firm’s messaging remains consistent

Client Communication

  • Serve as the lead point of contact with our clients for social media-related questions, needs, and approvals
  • Ensure all client-provided content is reviewed, formatted, and posted in a timely manner
  • Manage the client approval process for all scheduled content, ensuring timelines are met and revisions are handled efficiently

Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor KPIs and adjust strategies based on performance
  • Prepare quarterly analytics reports with insights and recommendations for each client
  • Track and analyze the performance of existing paid social media campaigns
  • Stay current with platform algorithm changes and legal marketing trends

Must‑Have Experience 

  • 5+ years of proven experience in B2B social media, preferably for corporate brands, professional services firms, or law firms
  • Prior team management and/or mentorship experience that involved actively working with and instructing others on social media
  • Strong expertise with key platforms: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X
  • Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills
  • Social media video creation, editing, and production experience
  • Data‑driven mindset: know how to translate metrics into action
  • Position is remote, but candidates must be based in Houston, TX
