Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced  Senior   Landscape Architect  to lead and manage high-end residential and small commercial landscape architecture projects. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of design principles, construction processes, and client relationship management, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results on luxury property developments. This role requires leadership, creative problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of project delivery, including concept design, schematic development, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration.
  • Lead and mentor a team of landscape architects, designers, and support staff to ensure design excellence and project efficiency.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet client expectations and profitability targets.
  • Serve as the primary client liaison, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with high-end residential clients, developers, architects, contractors, and consultants to deliver integrated and cohesive project solutions.
  • Conduct site visits for analysis, progress reviews, and quality control during construction.
  • Oversee preparation of detailed design documents including planting plans, hardscape designs, lighting plans, specifications, and construction details.
  • Ensure all projects comply with local codes, zoning regulations, and permitting requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues before they impact timelines or budgets.
  • Lead presentations to clients, review boards, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
  • Professional Landscape Architect license (preferred but not required).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in landscape architecture project management, with a focus on high-end residential and small commercial developments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and landscape detailing.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of Lumion and Revit is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget targets.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management capabilities.
