Nyman Associates is a local, trusted educational services provider for school-based and early intervention therapy services, proudly serving Southeastern PA, New Jersey, and Delaware for over 40 years. We're seeking compassionate educators to support students with vision needs and/or blindness.

Responsibilities: - Providing individualized instruction and support to students with blindness or visual impairments
- Assessing students' needs and developing appropriate learning materials and mobility plans
- Teaching orientation and mobility skills, including safe and independent travel techniques
- Adapting classroom and school environments to ensure accessibility for students
- Preparing students with visual impairments to travel independently and safely
- Performing evaluations focused on both long- and short-term mobility needs
- Developing instruction tailored to students’ assessed needs, IEP goals and objectives, functioning level, and motivation
- Preparing and using specialized equipment and materials such as tactile maps, models, optical devices, pre-canes, and GPS devices
- Instructing students in recreational and leisure skills, outdoor travel, and use of residential and public transportation
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in teaching for the Visually Impaired and/or Orientation and Mobility
- PA Orientation and Mobility Specialist certificate
