This role is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse responsible for providing skilled nursing care in a surgical setting within an acute care hospital. The nurse will perform a variety of tasks, including patient assessments, medication administration, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience and involves 12-hour variable shifts with on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Minimum of two years of experience as an RN (three years preferred with surgical experience).
- BLS certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- ACLS certification.
- Three years of experience as an RN in a surgical setting.
- Experience with specific surgical procedures (as outlined in unit description).
Special Considerations:
- 12-hour variable shifts, Sunday-Saturday coverage.
- On-call responsibilities (estimated 70-90 hours in a six-week period).
- Shift variations include 0630-1900, 0630-1900 with on-call from 1900-2300, 0930-2200, 1030-2300 with on-call from 2300-0700, and weekend/holiday call.
- On-call periods include 0700-1900 and 1900-0700.
- Facility may call off once per two-week pay period.
- Pending licenses are not accepted.
- RTO must be included at time of submission.
- 50-mile radius for local candidates.
Scheduling:
- 12-hour variable shifts, Sunday to Saturday coverage.
- Shift times vary (see Special Considerations).
- On-call requirements are significant.
- Block scheduling may be possible at the manager's discretion.
