Medical Receptionist – Orthotics & Prosthetics Clinic
Port Jefferson Station, NY | 4-5 Days per Week

We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our orthotics and prosthetics practice. As the first point of contact at our front desk, you’ll play a key role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting the smooth operation of our office.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome, check in, and check out patients with professionalism and care.
• Assist patients with intake forms and enter information accurately into our EMR system.
• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments.
• Answer phones and address patient questions promptly and courteously.
• Verify insurance eligibility and process authorizations for orthotic and prosthetic services.
• Maintain organized, accurate patient and office records.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous medical office or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong EMR/data entry and organizational skills.
• Experience with insurance verification/authorizations a plus.
• Knowledge of orthotics and prosthetics helpful but not required.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a office environment.
• Sensitivity to the needs of persons with disabilities.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
