Job Description

As a HSE Environmental Strategy Leader here at Solstice Advanced Materials (SAM), you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive environmental strategies and initiatives to ensure a culture of and environmental responsibility within the organization. You will play a critical role in safeguarding the well-being of employees, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and promoting sustainability. Your expertise in environmental management and strategy will enable us to mitigate potential environmental risks and drive continuous improvement in our environmental performance.

You will report directly to our Director of Environmental Management and you will work out of our headquarters in either Houston TX, or Geismar LA, on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact our organization by developing and implementing environmental strategies that align with our mission and values. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders to integrate environmental considerations into business processes and decision-making. Your leadership in driving sustainable practices and advocating for environmental stewardship will contribute to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement comprehensive environmental strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.

Collaborate with Government Relations to oversee SAM’s environmental footprint

• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, permits, and certifications.

• Stay updated on changing environmental regulations and industry best practices.

• Develop and implement proactive measures, training, and policies to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability.

• Conduct environmental risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

• Collaborate with various internal departments, senior management, and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication, training, and education on environmental matters.

This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

YOU MUST HAVE

• 8+ years of experience in environmental management or a related field

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices

• Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
