Estimator – Design-Build (Industrial Focus)

Columbus, OH

$85,000 – $125,000 base + strong benefits package

Our client, a well-established and growing design-build firm based in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Estimator to join their team. Known for their expertise in industrial and warehouse construction, they also deliver projects across a range of commercial sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a few years of estimating experience who is looking to grow their career in a supportive, team-oriented environment. You’ll work alongside seasoned Estimators and Preconstruction professionals, gaining exposure to a wide variety of project scopes and delivery methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid packages for industrial/warehouse and commercial construction projects
• Conduct quantity take-offs, analyze drawings/specifications, and help maintain historical cost data
• Support senior estimators in subcontractor/vendor outreach and bid-leveling
• Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews
• Help ensure project estimates align with client expectations, schedule, and scope

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of experience in construction estimating or preconstruction support
• Strong understanding of estimating concepts, take-offs, and cost tracking
• Prior exposure to industrial, warehouse, or manufacturing projects is highly preferred
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Sage Estimating, On-Screen Takeoff, etc.) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and collaborative attitude
