Job Description

Emerging Talent Specialist – Aviation

$32.50 per hour

Contract; open ended

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Columbus, Ohio

As an Emerging Talent Specialist, your role is to implement programs and initiatives that attract, engage, and retain emerging talents. This role involves collaborating with various departments to create a supportive environment for the growth and development of entry-level employees. The Emerging Talent Specialist plays a crucial role in the campus recruiting strategy, recruiting event management, and Summer Internship program.

What you’ll be doing:

Program Development:

  • Design and implement comprehensive programs to attract, develop, and retain emerging talents
  • Collaborate with HR and learning and development teams to create onboarding, training, and mentorship programs tailored for entry-level employees
  • Coordinate and manage internship programs, including recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and conversion to full-time employment when applicable

Recruitment Support:

  • Collaborate with recruiters to identify key skills and qualities required for entry-level positions
  • Assist in the recruitment process by conducting interviews, assessments, and candidate evaluations

Communication and Engagement:

  • Develop and execute communication strategies to engage and connect with emerging talents
  • Organize regular feedback sessions and forums to gather insights and enhance the overall employee experience
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communication teams to develop and implement campus recruitment marketing materials, presentations, and online campaigns

Recruiting Event Management:

  • Coordinate and organize campus recruiting events, including career fairs, information sessions, workshops, and campus visits, to maximize engagement and candidate interest
  • Represent the organization at career fairs, information sessions, networking events, and other campus recruitment activities to promote the employer brand and attract top talent

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of programs and initiatives
  • Provide regular reports on the success of talent development and retention efforts

Who we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field
  • Proven experience in talent development, employee engagement, or related roles
  • Strong understanding of early-career talent trends and best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to a dynamic work environment
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and talent development tools
