As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a passionate, hospitality-driven Director of F&B to join our leadership team.

Job Summary

The Food & Beverage (F&B) Director is a visionary leader responsible for overseeing all culinary and beverage operations at Hatley Pointe. With a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences in a four-season destination, the F&B Director ensures operational excellence, innovative menu development, and superior guest service while maximizing revenue and profitability throughout all departments of F&B.

Duties

  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the F&B operations, aligning with the lodge's brand, mission, and seasonal guest expectations.
  • Lead the F&B team with integrity, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and creativity. Ensure FOH/BOH are communicating to ensure seamless service.
  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar, banquet services, and room dining to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop and maintain high service standards, ensuring consistency across all F&B touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design seasonal menus that showcase locally sourced, sustainable ingredients.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely inventory and supply chain management.
  • Prepare and manage the F&B department's budget, ensuring revenue targets and cost controls are met.
  • Analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Monitor labor costs and optimize staff scheduling to maintain financial efficiency.
  • Uphold a guest-first approach by regularly engaging with guests and gathering feedback to refine the dining experience.
  • Lead the team in creating memorable, unique dining moments tailored to seasonal and local themes.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse and dynamic team of F&B professionals.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to promote growth and accountability.
  • Ensure staff are well-versed in service protocols, wine and beverage pairings, and lodge-specific offerings.
  • Ensure all F&B operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety, alcohol service, and health codes.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and sanitation procedures.

Skills

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic F&B plans in a four-season environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems for efficient order processing and inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of wine, mixology, and culinary trends, with the ability to create bespoke offerings.
  • Experience in fine dining establishments with an understanding of culinary trends.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with guests, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
