Position Summary
We’re looking for a curious, hands-on Content Creator with a passion for ocean conservation and a talent for filming in-the-moment experiences. This entry-level role works alongside our Senior Social Content Strategist to capture and develop engaging content across platforms—TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
You’ll help bring our mission to life through energetic behind-the-scenes footage, environmental storytelling, and team-focused reels, whether on dry land or waist-deep in water. This is a boots-on-the-ground creative role best suited for someone who thrives in fast-paced, outdoor environments and is eager to grow within a purpose-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
Field Content Creation
• Capture engaging real-time footage of cleanup crews, ocean rescue efforts, and sustainable product activations
• Film in wet and unpredictable environments, open to being on boats, in the water, and in coastal settings
• Record short-form and long-form video content that matches brand tone and storytelling goals
• Partner with the Senior Social Strategist to storyboard and deliver compelling narratives
Creative Collaboration
• Assist with weekly creative planning, brainstorms, and shoots
• Support influencer content, partnership features, and branded activations
• Contribute ideas for campaign launches and social experiments
• Ensure visuals reflect 4ocean’s aesthetic across all channels
Content Management & Editing
• Organize footage, tag and upload assets for post-production
• Edit basic videos using mobile apps or desktop platforms (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere)
• Prepare draft reels or clips for review, feedback, and refinement
Qualifications
Experience & Background
• 0–2 years of content creation, social media, or digital media experience
• Strong comfort level with smartphone and DSLR video capture, lighting, and audio
• Familiarity with platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts
Technical Skills
• Basic editing skills with CapCut, Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar
• Understanding of visual composition, framing, and storyboarding
Creative & Collaborative Traits
• Positive, flexible, and team-oriented
• Open to creative feedback and learning new techniques
• Willing to dive in (literally!) to capture the right moment
• Passionate about environmental activism and digital storytelling
