Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Civil Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil construction projects. This includes analyzing project plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to determine labor, material, and time requirements. The estimator collaborates closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure cost effective and timely project delivery.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Civil Estimator experience required
• Experience with various estimating programs, AutoCAD, Agtek, Bid 2 Win or similar estimating platform is required.
• Experience interpreting and reading civil plans, specifications and performing take offs is required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Position Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for earthwork grading, drainage, utilities, concrete, roadways, and other civil scopes.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and assist in cost saving strategies to develop a budget for the project.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing using estimating software.
• Manage projects; Oversee and document all aspects of the estimating and bid process.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits and client presentations.
• Coordinate with project managers to develop construction schedules and budgets.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.

Compensation:

$85,000 to $115,000 per year annual salary.
